Hi Everyone! Here is the travel Agenda that we currently have: 8/21/21 Greg and Maria arrive in Athens 8/28/21 Jimenez and Condaras family arrive to Athens 8/31/21 10:00AM- 2:00 PM Shuttle will depart from Glyfada, Greece to Monemvasia 8/31/21 7:00PM- Welcome Dinner in Monemvasia 9/1/21 6:30PM Church Wedding Service Castle Church 9/1/21 7:30PM Reception at Lazareto Hotel 9/2/21 12:00PM Beach Party at Elefanisos. Shuttle will leave at 11:15AM 9/3/21 10:00AM -2:00PM Shuttle will be departing from Monemvasia and make two stops, one in Glyfada and one at the Athens Airport 9/3/21 Jimenez family and guests fly from Athens Airport to Santorini 9/3/21-9/6/21 Stay in Santorini 9/6/21 Ferry from Santorini to Crete 9/6/21- 9/921- Stay in Crete 9/9/21 Greg and Maria fly back to Athens and we will stay in Athens till the 15th 9/15/21 Flight from Athens to LAX

Flight

Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport

We recommend everyone who is traveling to have flights that fly into the Athens Airport. For those traveling from California there is not a direct flight so layover options will range per airlines. Once you arrive to athens you can take a taxi to the city center. The taxi should be no more than 60-70 euro so please make sure you confirm with the taxi driver beforehand.

City of Glyfada

We have chosen the city of Glyfada as a meeting point as our family lives here as well as it has access to great beaches, restaurants, night life, and hotels. The city is 30 minutes away from downtown Athens where the Acropolis, Museums, and authentic shops are located. We recommend taking the metro to see the sites if you are interested.

We love all the hotels in Glyfada but for those who are planning on a quick stay in the city an Airbnb is the most economical.

Option for hotel in the center of Glyfada. Close to shopping, restaurants, and marina.

Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso

Hotel option 10 minutes away from the city center of Glyfada. The resort is on the ocean and has a private beach for guests. We recommend booking on Hotels.com or Expedia for this hotel as the rooms are less expensive than the block pricing. :)

Shuttle

Shuttle from Glyfada to Monemvasia

A shuttle will be available for everyone who will be attending the wedding for the journey to Monemvasia. The shuttle will leave from Glyfada (a city 30 minutes from the airport) on August 31st at 10:00am sharp to Monemvasia. Please RSVP for the shuttle so we can have proper arrangements for everyone. :)

This shuttle will be available for everyone who would like to continue their trip back to Athens. The shuttle will also make another stop at the Athens Airport for those who will be continuing their journey.

After Wedding Plans

We are planning on continuing our trip from Monemvasia to the islands of Greece! Everyone is more than welcome to join us. We will be going to Santorini on the Friday September 3rd until September 6th and staying in the town of Immerovegli. After we will be going directly to Crete and staying in the town of Chania from September 6th to the 9th.

We will be flying from Athens Airport on September 3rd to the Santorini Airport. The shuttle will be taking us directly from Monemvasia

Santorini Travel

For those of you who wish to continue the trip with us we will be staying at the Vasilicos Hotel in Immerovegli in Santorini. The island is very small so feel free to stay in whichever town you please as everything is within 15-20 minute distance from each other. While staying in Santorini we will be enjoying the many different beaches as well as a trip to the Volcano nearby. Please let us know if you will be joining so we can make proper arrangements and reservations.

Ferry from Santorini to Crete

We will be taking a ferry from the Santorini port on September 6th directly to Chania Crete

Crete Travel

For those who will be joining us to Crete we will be taking a direct ferry from the Santorini port to the port located in the town Chania. Due to Covid there is no longer a direct flight from the islands. The Ferry is 2 hours and beautiful sea views. :) Crete is a much larger island so please be sure to fly or take a ferry into the correct airport if you wish to join us.
