David and I met through my best friend of 32 years. She and I were enjoying a Saturday afternoon retail therapy session, I had lost my mom 6 months prior and hadn't been shopping in Annapolis in months, when she suggested that we go to dinner and hang out with some friends. To my surprise we arrived at the restaurant for me to meet a gentle, kind and fascinating man. On our first date alone we played pool as he recited Method Man "You're All that I Need." We enjoyed drinks at the bar. I knew I had stumbled upon an Angel on that day I was worried and frantic over my son's travels during a snow storm. One morning during our calls before work, he attentively responded with "No Worries." He immediately swooped in and Saved the Day. What a Superman! My son was safely on his way to his destination. I could not believe I had been blessed with such a being that would be willing to give from his heart and expect no return. Sight unseen David demonstrated a sincere act of kindness that was only the beginning of his demonstration of God’s Love for me. From the Kennedy Center to hanging out in Georgetown to preparing for picnics at Wolf Trap we connected. We followed close paths attending Fairmont Heights High School to University of Maryland and Bowie State University. Often living a few miles apart growing up. I am grateful to God that he sent one of his Archangels with an ardent heart indeed. His clairvoyance provided a mystique that was magnetic. Majestic we reign!!! We laughed, we built, and representing like The Politician and his First Lady to our friends. God has smiled on our hearts. I just love proposal stories: A scene from favorite movie Sex in The City- A tale of Carrie & Big. Have I found my Big? My Love? My closet! Yasss my beautiful closet, a real fairytale.
