When will shuttles depart for the ceremony?

Answer

4:00 PM - Shuttles begin loading guests at the Hyatt Centric Old Town, Alexandria and depart for River Farm. 4:00 PM - Shuttles begin loading guests at the Residence Inn Old Town/Duke Street and depart for River Farm. 4:30 PM (ish) - Arrive at River Farm! Enjoy the gardens, views of the Potomac River, and refreshing welcome drinks before the 5:00 PM ceremony.

Is River Farm Uber/Lyft accessible?

Answer

Guests can use Uber/Lyft to get to River Farm. However, we do not recommend that guests rely on these services to depart at the end of the night. Due to the venue's location outside of town, Uber/Lyft drivers are typically unavailable for pick-ups from River Farm, especially at night. We will provide shuttles to transport guests between our hotel blocks in Old Town, Alexandria and River Farm. You DO NOT need to be a guest at either hotel to use the shuttle service. Please indicate in your RSVP if you will require shuttle transportation so we can get an accurate headcount.

Can I drive to River Farm?

Answer

There is a small parking lot at River Farm, and guests may also park along the driveway leading from River Farm's front gate to the main house. Driving and parking are possible, but space may be limited as vendors will need to use the parking lot as well.

Is the ceremony outdoors?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will take place in River Farm's gardens. Please check the weather before packing for the weekend, and wear shoes that will fare well on the grass! The reception will take place in an outdoor tent on River Farm's stone patio overlooking the Potomac River. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place in the tented stone patio and inside River Farm's historic home.

Although we love your little ones, this will be an adult-only (18+) celebration. Thank you for understanding!

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The best airport to fly into is Ronald Regan Washington National Airport (DCA). Our hotel blocks, located in Old Town Alexandria, are a 10-minute drive from DCA. Even if you are not staying in our hotel blocks, we recommend staying in the Old Town, Alexandria area for ease of getting to and from the venue. Information about transportation and shuttles can be found in the questions below.
