12/12/16, not-so-coincidentally known as Tom Brady day, was the day Greer and Chris met and their story began. They had previously encountered each other online, but nothing ever came of it until that fateful Monday night in the beer line at Gillette Stadium. Chris recognized Greer, struck up a conversation, asked for an extra hand to carry beers for his friends - which they never got, sorry guys - and we spent the second half on the Pavillion behind the endzone talking, laughing, and not watching a single down of football. He got her number that night, they went on a date that same week, and the rest is history.

Things really do come full circle. Almost 2 years to the date, we made our annual return to Gillette to watch the Pats take on the Vikings on 12/2/18. After meeting up with Greer's uncle and cousin, two Vikings fans, we all decided to grab a drink inside before kickoff. Nervous about going through security with the ring, Chris challenged Greer to see who could get through the packed lines first. She took off running, and he breathed a sigh of relief. He really knows me too well... We got in the stadium and walked for what felt like hours, passing many beer carts along the way, until the group wound up back at that exact spot where we had met 2 years earlier. A fake posed picture turned into Chris down on one knee, and now we get to celebrate with you all on February 29, 2020! Oh, and we did finally have those beers to celebrate - and again didn't see much of the game.
