We will be celebrating at Above the Clouds Venue in Roanoke, AL. This is a 35 minute drive from Carrollton, GA where the rehearsal dinner will take place. The venue is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes from Atlanta Airport (Carrollton is 1 hour from ATL) and 1 hour 40 minutes from Birmingham Airport.
Carrollton, Ga is where the Lyle family lives and offers a walkable town square with cute shops, wine bar, breweries, and local arts center.
Roanoke, AL is a quiet Alabama town right on the Georgia border with a small downtown area and close proximity to Lake Wedowee, a local reservoir that many locals use for boating and watersports.
If you're looking for more of a bustling local scene and interesting eateries, choose Carrollton. If you're looking for a lakeside Memorial Day Weekend, choose staying on Lake Wedowee closer to Roanoke.
