A Few of Our Favorites Things

Make a trip out of our wedding weekend! We welcome you to come out early, stay late, and enjoy the area during the prettiest time of the year. Below are some of the spots we've come to love in our first year living here. Marquette truly is a magical place to explore.
Blackrocks Brewery

Blackrocks Brewery

424 North 3rd Street, Marquette, MI 49855

Our favorite local brewery. Best beer in town, with live music most evenings. A great spot for a drink after a hike or meandering about town, with spaces indoors and outdoors.

The Vierling Restaurant & Marquette Harbor Brewery

The Vierling Restaurant & Marquette Harbor Brewery

119 South Front Street, Marquette, MI 49855

A beautiful old restaurant with the oldest brewery and best view in town. Try the white fish, a Michigan favorite. It only travels two blocks to get there.

Crow’s Nest

Crow’s Nest

230 North Front Street, Marquette, MI 49855

Perched on the top floor of the Landmark Inn, get the best view of the lake in town from high above and enjoy some craft cocktails and light bites. Their Northern Negroni is our favorite. This historic hotel had a visit from Amelia Earhart in the 1930s while she was in town speaking.

The Crib

The Crib

401 North 3rd Street, Marquette, MI 49855

Great local coffee spot in a beautiful old home. Super tasty coffee, and they're open for cocktails later on too!

Downtown Marquette Farmers Market

Downtown Marquette Farmers Market

112 South 3rd Street, Marquette, MI 49855

Outdoor farmer's and makers market in downtown Marquette on Saturday, 9:00 am-1:00 pm. Grab a chorizo breakfast burrito, stroll local artist booths, and enjoy your Saturday morning.

South Beach Park

South Beach Park

501 South Lake Street, Marquette, MI 49855

Beautiful beach spot only 1 mile away from downtown. Has a playground and is a great place for kids and to just hangout by the water. This is our puppy Hoppa's biggest recommendation for the wedding weekend.

Snowbound Books

Snowbound Books

118 North 3rd Street, Marquette, MI 49855

Darling little bookshop with a great selection, pick out a book for your trip and head to the beach to read and relax.

Graci Gallery

Graci Gallery

110 North 3rd Street, Marquette, MI 49855

Our favorite private gallery in town. A good curation of both local and nonlocal artwork.

De Vos Art Museum

De Vos Art Museum

1401 Presque Isle Avenue, Marquette, MI 49855

Northern Michigan University's Art Museum. Rotating shows, artwork by professors, and a curated rotating permanent collection. Highest quality works in town.
