We're Getting Married

There is no time when I did not know Evan, but Evan remembers a specific date that we were introduced. Whatever the day, July 4, 2020 is the date we will never forget. During the global pandemic, at the top of July, Evan approach me like anyone else during the pandemic - he slid in my DM. Our first call, on July 4th, lasted for hours. This was the start of a daily routine of marathon calls. Two weeks later we meet for dinner in Toledo, OH and that started our 3 year, long-distance relationship.

One day before our anniversary, Evan recreated moments from our first date. He started the weekend by taking me to a comedy show Friday night. The following morning, we visited House Three Thirty for coffee and took a phenomenal tour of the facility - I fell in love with the place. Then we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the 50th year of the Hip Hop exhibit. He insisted on taking me to RED steakhouse for dinner, even though we were due to go to a party 2 hours later. We were seating in the corner by the window with a nearly empty restaurant. The waitress spouted off the specials and said "Now Evan Green will take it away." I was confused; why and how did she know his full government name? I looked over to him and he was sliding out of his chair and down on one knee. He spoke about our journey and our love and then, nervously, fiddled with the ring box and asked me to marry him!! I emphatically said YES! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives - and want to do it with you.
