We met on a beautiful day in the field at Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center. Alex was evaluating rocket launcher crews, and I was shadowing a Lieutenant. In an attempt to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible I went down to where Alex was evaluating. In a twist of fate Alexs phone he was using to time the Crews died and I had to stay with him the rest of the day so he could use mine (the only time my phone has lasted longer than his). After that we remained friends for the next year and half talking on and off and seeing each other when our drills overlapped. It wasn’t until Alex had to come to Lexington for military training that our relationship really began. Since then Alex has been my breath of fresh air and I have been his muse. We have been on countless adventures and became each other’s best friends. We are looking forward to what the future holds for us and can’t wait to share the next step in our journey with our journey with all of you!
On our way to our adventure in London we met a women at the airport that told us we had to go to the sky garden. A beautiful garden at the top a skyscraper that over looked the whole London skyline. We went the first night we arrived. Alex set up the whole thing so my parents would be taking pictures of us while he proposed. He and my mom had me so convinced that he wasn’t going to ask me in London that even when I suspected it I was talking myself out of it! Then surprisingly to me on the 35th floor of the Sky Garden with the London skyline behind us Alex asked me to be his wife. (Obviously I said yes)🖤
