FAQs

Question

Can I take photos and videos through the evening?

Answer

YES! The only request we make is to please put your phones away/on silent during the CEREMONY. We have hired incredible photographers to capture our ceremony and would love for you to be fully present when we say "I do." However, please feel free to take photos throughout the evening AFTER the recessional and once cocktail hour has started. We will have a photo-booth up all day/night for you to capture amazing pictures as well!

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests that are formally included on your invitations. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love and adore your little ones, however, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family children. We encourage you to use this night as a fun date night! We appreciate you making prior arrangements so that you can celebrate with us.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM. Please arrive after 3:45 and no later than 4:15 to give yourself time to park and walk to the ceremony area. The bridal party will be lining up and making their way to the ceremony area at about 4:15.

Question

Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes! There is parking available on the dirt road leading up to the house. We will be reaching out to individuals privately to make sure you have a reserved spot up close for medical needs. If we have not reached out and you medically need a spot up closer reserved please let Jake or Becca know!

Question

Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside nestled inside some trees/brush on the south side of the property. We will have signs up pointing you to the right direction! The cocktail hour and reception will take place in the lawn next to the house. The reception will be held in the backyard of the house under tents.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can click the "RSVP" tab above and RSVP at any time. No paper RSVP's will be mailed.

Question

What if I don't RSVP by the deadline?

Answer

If we do not receive an RSVP back from you by our August 31st deadline, you will be marked "not attending." We would love celebrating with you, however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors and cannot accept late RSVP's. (Unfortunately, this will mean we will not have any extra seating/food/drink accommodations for you.)

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding please indicate on the "RSVP" tab so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP'd and can't make it, please notify Jake or Becca as soon as you are aware.

Question

Are there any colors/attire that we should avoid?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid traditional colors reserved for the bride - white, ivories and creams; along with the bridesmaids/groomsman - dusty rose and sage green. Also, we ask that you please refrain from wearing jeans.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We are so thankful you're making the trip to celebrate with us! We have provided a few local hotels under the "Travel" tab along with the options of AirBNB and VRBO.

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

Blue Heron will be providing our food. This will be a buffet style dinner!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! We will have beer (Miller Light and Shorts Locals Light), High Noon seltzers and wine provided free of charge. No hard liquor will be provided. Pop and water will also be provided for children and non-alcohol drinkers. We ask that you be patient and respect our bartender!

Question

Will there be drinks other than alcohol provided?

Answer

Yes! We will provide a variety of sodas along with water if you would prefer.

Question

How can I contribute to your honeymoon fund?

Answer

The greatest gift of all is your presence on our special day! However, should you wish to contribute to our honeymoon, a card can be dropped in the card box at the reception.

For all the days along the way
