We met just how most couples do nowadays, online of course. Something was different this time. Something neither one of us could explain. After the first date we were almost inseparable. We both had just moved back to Texas after quite similar life events and we bonded almost instantly. We could hardly breathe when we were near each other. It was a powerful feeling that genuinely shocked us both. It was our own untimely true love story. The epitome of the cliché "when you know you know". It was as if we had been together in a past life. A deeper connection that seemed to be felt in our souls. We knew instantly that this was what we wanted forever. After our first date, I remember coming home and my mother was on the back porch. She asked me "how'd it go" and without hesitation I exclaimed "Oh, I'm going to marry him" as I walked inside to avoid any further questions as I’m sure that was shocking for her to hear at the time. The best part about that day was that I was just as sure about him then as I am now and I knew he felt the same way. So here we are as we plan to come together as one under the blessing of our Lord and in the presence of the people that we love.
