Kendra and Ben both grew up in northern New York, and still aren't completely sure where they met for the first time. Whether it was Dry Hill, Lake Bonaparte, or Green Street, it most certainly was thanks to Kendra's cousin/Ben's friend, Shelby. Their paths would continue to cross at the lake whenever they both found themselves back in New York, including on the 4th of July, 2016 when Ben got invited (maybe by himself) to join Kendra, her friend Emily, and Shelby on a trip to Patagonia. Six months of planning later, they met again on Christmas Eve at JFK Airport en route to Argentina to spend 2 weeks traveling and hiking in South America. Kendra and Ben kept in touch, and it wasn't long before they were planning their next grand adventure. After deciding that a trip to Thailand or Cuba would take too long to plan, Ben got invited (definitely by Kendra this time) to attend a friend's wedding in Florida. Before the weekend was over, a trip to Burlington for Ben was already on the calendar...followed rapidly by weekend trips to meet here, there, and everywhere. Ben and his pup, Tetley, decided to move from Philadelphia to Vermont in the summer and rented a house on Lake Champlain. Come fall, Ben and Tetley moved in with Kendra and Addy full time. Ben popped the question to Kendra while on a weekend getaway in Quebec City on January 12th, 2018. They spent the weekend celebrating in true Canadian style with beers, poutine and ice skating. Along with continuing their travels, they began making plans to build a new home for themselves in Georgia, VT (which will be completed by the time they tie the knot).
