Where he proposed!!! From where we parked to the lookout point took us 20min... BUT that half a mile hike alone was almost 600ft of elevation gain. I'd like to say I'm in shape, but I was STRUGGLING haha. The view was definitely worth it, and hopefully God's Thumb will be open this year (reached by continuing this trail).
Of course, a must-see in Oregon. Lots of wildlife and sea creatures during low tide, and great restaurant options. We went to Pelican Brewing Company, and it was delicious!
This is the upscale restaurant we went to after he proposed. Very nice, good food and drinks, and knowledgable staff. We would definitely go here again!
The hike to this waterfall took us about an hour! The last few minutes were pretty rocky, but it is so worth it. Total hike was 4 miles round-trip (2hrs), and had around 600ft of elevation gain.
Another Oregon classic, featured in Twilight! There's a restaurant we haven't tried, and some hiking trails up to the top. Beautiful spot!
Super cute restaurant in Hood Village with insanely good mac and cheese and drinks! The ambiance is very cozy.
Beautiful place to check out in Portland! The neighborhoods around here are very nice, too.
Quiet little town along the Oregon/Washington border. Pfriem Family Brewers and Ferment Brewing Company are two very good places to eat, and there are super cute orchards/wineries along the road from Hood Village. We stopped at Packer Orchards and Pearl's Place Fruit Stand (they have an insanely good apple cider slush with vanilla ice cream mmmmm).
The road up to the lodge has beautiful views, and has had snow both times we visited. Visibility was low our first year because of the snow storm passing through, but last year we could see everything! There's some hiking trails around here, too.
Cute little breakfast cafe that used to be a cabin/hotel. Their food was great, and the staff was very kind!
