It's always been you

It all began in 2007 in the Brescia's yard where we first met; Taylor was 13 and James was 12. We were just two kids, clueless about what life had in store for us. We "dated" for two weeks, broke up, "dated" for another two weeks, then broke up again. James never lets Taylor live that down, "you're on your third strike!" he reminds her. Despite the middle school breakup, we remained best friends for the next 13 years. Over the years, we have been there for each other through thick and thin. We've experienced the ups and downs of life together, including heartbreak and achieved milestones. Our families have always had a feeling that we were meant to be together, and they've been waiting patiently for that day to come. Our journey has been anything but ordinary. We've seen each other grow, change, and become the people we are today. Through it all, our friendship has been a constant source of comfort and support. We've shared secrets, dreams, and countless inside jokes. We've laughed together, cried together, and celebrated together. Everyone around us could see what we couldn't for the longest time. Our families have been rooting for us from the start, eagerly anticipating the day we would realize that we were meant to be more than just friends. That day came in July 2020, which is when we decided we were going to give it a shot. We've taken that leap of faith, embracing the love that has been slowly growing within us, before we even knew it. It's a love that feels both familiar and new, comfortable and exciting. So here we are, ready to create our own happily ever after.
