In the winter of 2017, two Bradley University students met at a friends pregame party getting ready to go out to Crusen’s to see Wedding Banned. We had gone to school together for 4 years, had multiple friends in common, but it was not until that fateful night that we first met. Our introduction to each other was unique to say the least, our mutual friend Chris Golden, who is always the life of the party, randomly pushed us both together and confidently stated “Nick - Grecia, Grecia - Nick. Talk”. Then proceeded to walk away. And talk we did, or at least I shouted into Grecia’s ear over the loud music and she pretended to hear me. After a few hours and a few drinks we had hit it off. Throughout the next few months while Grecia finished school and then her first teaching job and I started my career, we would alternate visiting each other on the weekends, with her in Peoria and me in Chicago we had a brief bout at a longish distance relationship. Once the school year was over Grecia moved back to Chicago and we got to see each other more frequently and our relationship became serious. Over the next 4 years we proceeded to get an apartment together, got engaged, bought our first house and got our paw-daughter, Stella. Now in June of 2023, we are ecstatic to be getting married and spend the rest of our lives together. Habíamos ido juntos a la escuela durante 4 años, teníamos varios amigos en común, pero no fue hasta esa fatídica noche que nos conocimos. Nuestra presentación mutua fue única, por decir lo menos, nuestro amigo en común Chris Golden, que siempre es el alma de la fiesta, nos empujó a los dos y dijo con confianza: "Nick - Grecia, Grecia - Nick". Platiquen" y se fue. Y hablamos, o al menos le grité al oído a Grecia por encima de la música alta y ella fingió escucharme. Después de unas horas y unas copas, nos llevamos bien. A lo largo de los siguientes meses, mientras Grecia terminaba la escuela y luego su primer trabajo como maestra y yo comenzaba mi carrera, nos visitábamos alternativamente los fines de semana. Con ella en Peoria y yo en Chicago tuvimos una breve relación a distancia bastante larga. Una vez que terminó el año escolar, Grecia regresó a Chicago y nos vimos con más frecuencia y nuestra relación se volvió seria. Durante los próximos 4 años procedimos a conseguir un apartamento juntos, nos comprometimos, compramos nuestra primera casa y obtuvimos a nuestra hija de patas, Stella. Ahora, en junio de 2023, estamos felices de casarnos y pasar el resto de nuestras vidas juntos. ¡Estamos muy emocionados de que todos ustedes pasen este día con nosotros!
