Question

What is the best way to get to Antigua?

Answer

The nearest international airport is La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City. From there, you can take a shuttle, taxi, or private transfer to Antigua, which is about an hour's drive away. We’ve included the contact information for a private transfer service in the travel and accommodation section.

Question

Are there any travel restrictions or requirements?

Answer

Please check the current travel advisories and entry requirements for Guatemala, including visa requirements and COVID-19 protocols, as these may change. For the latest information, visit the official website of the Guatemalan government at guatemala.travel or the U.S. Department of State at travel.state.gov.

Question

Are children invited to the vow renewal event?

Answer

Due to venue limitations, we prefer to keep the event adults-only. However, we understand that this is a destination event, and some guests may have infants. If you plan to bring a baby or toddler, please let us know in advance. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We invite you to embrace the vibrant, floral spring vibes of Antigua, Guatemala! Please dress in cocktail attire and cheerful colors to reflect the charm of the beautiful venue. Ladies: Antigua’s cobblestone streets can make high heels a bit challenging. We recommend wearing block heels, wedges, or dressy flats. Or, if you’ll be walking to the venue, consider carrying your heels and switching into them once you arrive.

Question

What is the venue for the vow renewal ceremony?

Answer

The vow renewal ceremony will take place at Casa Troccoli, a stunning historic home in the heart of Antigua, Guatemala. This charming estate features beautiful architecture, lush gardens, and breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanoes, providing the perfect backdrop for our celebration. We can’t wait to share this unforgettable experience with you!

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The vow renewal ceremony will be held at Casa Troccoli, conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from our recommended hotels. We encourage you to take advantage of this short walk to enjoy the beautiful streets of Antigua. For your convenience, shuttles will be provided at night to transport guests back to the hotels after the celebration.

Question

Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refer to your invitation for details regarding plus ones. If your invitation specifies that you may bring a guest, we welcome you to do so! If not, we appreciate your understanding as we create an intimate celebration.

Question

What's the best way to exchange money or pay for things in Guatemala?

Answer

The easiest and most cost-effective way to get local currency (Quetzales) is by withdrawing cash from an ATM once you arrive in Guatemala. ATMs typically offer the best exchange rates. Just make sure to notify your bank ahead of time about your international travel. You can use credit cards at most restaurants and hotels in Antigua, but it's a good idea to carry cash for visits to markets, small local shops, or when buying from artisans. ATMs in Antigua: BAC Credomatic – Located near Parque Central, easy to access and reliable. Banco Industrial – Several branches throughout the city with secure ATMs. 5B ATMs – Common and usually accept international cards (look for machines inside grocery stores or banks). Banrural – Widely available but may have lower withdrawal limits.
