Wrightsville Beach
The main strip of Wrightsville Beach ranges from South Lumina Ave (the south end of beach) up to North Lumina Ave (the north end). It's about 3 mile strip with a dozen or so beach access points. Street parking will be available on most streets and in lots (pay via app on your phone), if you cannot walk or bike there. Weather should be beach friendly in October and the water still nice from the summer heat!
Wilmington Riverwalk
Stroll along the Riverwalk, enjoy waterfront dining, and explore charming shops and galleries.
Airlie Gardens
Explore 67 acres containing formal gardens, wildlife, ten acres of lakes, more than 75,000 azaleas, the tall Airlie Oak which dates back to 1545. General Admission is $10 for adults and $3 for kids.
South End Surf Shop & SUNdays Cafe
SUNdays has great coffee, smoothies and snacks right across from the beach (on the South End of the beach!) Downstairs is South End surf shop which offers surf lessons, board rentals, clothing and accessories. Local surf community hangout and gem of a pit stop if you need food and drink for the beach. Wrightsville Beach is known as one of the best surf spots on the East Coast.
Wrightsville SUP
Paddleboard, Kayak, Sail, Outrigger, and Bike Rentals at Wrightsville SUP. Located near the beach, this location offers paddleboard and kayak rentals so you can leisurely explore the inlets and soak up the sun in the intercoastal bays of Wrightsville.
Biggers Market
Open on weekdays, a local market with produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, plants and more! Live music too!
