YES! The resort is All-Inclusive and Adults-Only. All food, drinks, and wedding festivities are included in your resort stay.
Unfortunately, Secrets Akumal is an adults-only resort. We truly appreciate your understanding.
There are two types of travel protection available, and they must be added at the time of booking (if you choose to purchase it) as they cannot be added later. Travel protection is not required but often recommended. Both types offer "Cancel for Any Reason" coverage and provide protection during travel. This means you're covered if you lose your luggage, your flight gets canceled and you miss a night, need to stay an extra night, and so on. The main difference between the two types is the form of refund you receive if you cancel: Travel Credit Protection: If you need to cancel your reservation, your refund will be issued as travel credit. Cash Insurance Protection: If you cancel, your refund will be returned to the original form of payment used for the deposit. Please note that the cost of travel protection is non-refundable. Detailed information about both options is available during the booking process. If you have any questions, please reach out to Kelli, who will be happy to assist you.
When booking your resort accommodations, be sure to select your preferred transfer option. You have three choices: shared, regular private, and deluxe private. Shared Transfer: This option, chosen by most guests, provides a shuttle van service. Regular Private Transfer: Enjoy the same shuttle van, but reserved exclusively for you and your party. Deluxe Private Transfer: Travel in style in a luxurious SUV, complete with drinks and snacks, exclusively for you and your party. You can choose your preferred transfer option during the booking process.
Please note that the room booking link above covers only your hotel stay, airport transfers, and optional travel insurance. You will need to purchase your flights separately. After booking your flight, email the details to Kelli so she can include them in your transfer arrangements. If you need assistance with finding the best flight, feel free to reach out to Kelli for help.
You will fly into the Cancun airport (CUN). Direct flights are always the best option. For the outbound journey, aim for a morning departure, and for the return, choose an early afternoon flight. Avoid basic economy fares. If you need to book a layover, try to schedule at least 1.5 hours on the way there and 2+ hours on the way home. A longer layover on the return is recommended because you'll need to clear customs and recheck your bags.
