DC is incredibly walkable and public transportation is actually decent! If you’re getting an AirBnB or VRBO we recommend booking in Takoma, Takoma Park, or Petworth. If you’re looking for a hotel we recommend booking in downtown Silver Spring and linked a couple of good ones.
