It is!! The current restrictions in MN reduce wedding sizes significantly, which means we will have to make adjustments as things continue to change. We are very pleased with recent updates and plan to continue forward with our wedding celebration! We thank you for your patience and encourage you to book travel plans as we are celebrating on June 11th! As most of you know, last year, we made the tough decision to postpone our wedding celebration to 2021. What was most important to us was getting married and ensuring the safest environment possible for all our loved ones. Because of this, we were married in a small ceremony with our immediate family in 2020. Although we are beyond excited to be married, we are saddened and to be honest, very bummed to be unable to have the wedding we originally planned and envisioned. It has always been our dream to celebrate our marriage with all of you and because of that.. we cannot wait to host a big wedding with y’all on June 11th, 2021!
Our story starts at the University of Minnesota where we were part of the football and dance team. When we met through mutual friends, little did we know, we would be getting married 9 years later. Over our four years at college while balancing athletics, school, and our social lives we continually found ourselves crossing each others paths and slowly getting to know each other. Most of these encounters involved large amounts of Mary's sass and Grayson getting denied. Fast forward to senior year, and Grayson's persistence finally started to pay off. It started with Mary actually texting Grayson first (for once) asking what the plans were after football games in the fall. This turned into a weekly occurrence, but the sass was more prevalent that ever. ;) With the help of Mary's roommates and Grayson's best friend Duke - he was finally able to land a coffee date and then a group date at a movie. Duke accompanied Grayson to the coffee date and strategically left after a few minutes. On the way to the movie date - Mary's friends "accidentally" left early and left us to drive the theater together. Upon arrival, the only two seats left were side by side for us. Since we had been friends for so many years, after that "date" we fell fast, & we fell hard! Fast forward to February of 2015 and we were officially a couple. Over the past five years of dating, we have learned so much about each other, created thousands of memories, laughed so hard we cried, and became part of each others families. On January 15th, 2020 Grayson finally popped the question while in Florida with Mary's family!
