At a bar in downtown Charleston, SC, we recognized each other from going to the same gym. He asked if I wanted a drink, and it didn't take him long to start trash talking the Clemson Tigers. So yeah, we met in the south at a bar over some drinks and talked about football, classic and original! We grew together quickly, which was a lucky thing because March of 2020 was just around the corner. The pandemic put us in the position to have some tough conversations very early on, which led us to falling fast in love when we realized we had many of the same values and ideas for the future. OUR future.

On a colder and snowier than expected Earth Day, I went on a hike about 2 hours from Denver with a dear friend. I tried backing out of the hike because of the weather, but I trusted my friend so we decided to persevere together! About a mile into the hike, I can barely make out two sketchy figures standing by a lake through the heavy snowfall. When I started to make out the Wofford baseball jacket, I knew I had been fooled. It was Mack and his friend waiting for me to pop the question! The day wasn't over yet though, there was a surprise party at our house with some of our closest friends and family waiting inside! We can't wait to show y'all the state we've come to call home :)
