The First Date

10/26/2019

Cassie and Carson met through an online dating app called Bumble. Upon being matched they began their conversation and knew right away a first date would be planned. However, as Carson drove into the mountains for his annual elk hunt, he quickly lost service. He would be off the grid for the next nine days. Cassie was unaware of his trip and initially thought he may no longer be interested as the days continued to pass. Despite these roadblocks, when Carson returned to Denver, he reached out with hopes of planning the first date - which was scheduled on October 26th, 2019 at Union Station. The two met at 10 am, grabbed a coffee at Pigtrain and then moved outside to stroll through the Farmer’s Market. Cassie and Carson spent a few hours together talking, laughing and shopping. The two knew on that very first date that this would be the beginning of something special, and within a few weeks their relationship was made official.

The Proposal

06/11/2023

Cassie and Carson were spending a month at “Big Eagle Camp”, The Gray’s cabin located on Lake of the Woods in Ontario. Their time during the first few weeks were spent fishing the surrounding islands, enjoying the views of the northern lights and getting up close to the local wildlife. They were living off the grid for a months' time in such a beautiful and special place. On June 11th, 2023, Carson asked Cassie to go watch the sunset at the back of the island. This was something they had done often, so Cassie did not suspect anything. The two walked to the back of the island, climbed around the rocks on the coast, and made it to a large rock with the best sunset view. Carson decided he was going to take a “Timelapse” of the sunset, but in reality, he started recording to capture the entire moment. As “Sun to Me” by Zach Bryan played on Cassie’s phone - Carson approached her and got down on one knee. A simple, yet beautiful, sentence was said that caught Cassie completely off guard - “I want to spend every sunset with you”. With tears in her eyes, Cassie stood and took Carson's hands. She was in a perfect place with her perfect person; it was the easiest "Yes" of her entire life. The two embraced and watched the remainder of the sunset - laughing, crying and thinking of their future together.

Why Ireland?

06/11/2024

Cassie's paternal grandmother, Rita Mae Rozinsky, was the fieriest little Irish woman if you ever did see one - her maiden name being Morrissey. Cassie always felt drawn to her Irish roots, particularly due to her close relationship with her grandmother growing up. As Cassie and Carson began to dream about their wedding - they caught themselves envisioning a destination wedding in Ireland. The Rozinsky Family had visited back in 2019 and had always dreamt of planning another trip. Ireland holds such a special place in Cassie's heart, and it soon started to take over parts of Carson's as well. The couple wanted to plan a magical escape and ultimately decided to book their previously dreamt about destination wedding with a guest list including immediate family and a few friends. As excited as they are, having a small wedding comes with challenges as there are so many individuals the couple would like to celebrate with. You all mean so very much to them, thank you for your continued love and support. Pictures and videos will be shared with all. Thank you for being a part of Cassie and Carson's journey - We look forward to welcoming "The Grays" in June of 2024!
