Graye and DeLynn met at the Busby Family Christmas party on December 18th, 2021. When Santa came to see the kids, DeLynn jokingly asked Santa “for a good man for Christmas.” At that moment my uncle started calling Graye out. Throughout the night we talked and found out we lived about an hour apart. A couple days later DeLynn added Graye on Facebook and we started talking regularly. That next weekend DeLynn went to Hilltop to hangout with everyone and go ride four wheelers, where she was thrown off a four wheeler for the first time. After Graye realized she liked riding he invited her to the mud park with him and his friends for New Years, where yes she was thrown off the four wheeler again and we flipped the razor. Needless to say, this is why DeLynn now has her own four wheeler! 3 weeks of knowing each other, Graye asked DeLynn to go to church with him and his family. This is when our relationship really began to go. We grew our relationship with God and with each other as we continued to go to church weekly together. We have always agreed that God is first and he is our biggest strength. For 7 months we travelled weekly to be able to see each other every weekend until Graye was accepted into Texas A&M and moved to College Station in August of 2022. Through the ups and downs our relationship has continued to grow. March 10th, 2024 Graye surprised DeLynn with an early birthday present, a four wheeler. We drove around Hilltop, up to this little pavilion over looking the water where he got down on one knee and asked DeLynn to spend the rest of her life with him, and of course she said yes! We can’t wait to make it official and say “I Do” August 31, 2024!
