The wedding weekend runs from Friday, May 1st through Monday, May 4th. Guests are welcome to arrive anytime on Friday and depart on Monday, May 4th. Please note there are no events scheduled on Monday. Full event details can be found on the schedule page.
Villa Chic Semi-Formal Attire. Ladies are asked to wear midi to full-length dresses in elegant, coastal-inspired styles. Men should wear button-down shirts with dress pants and a jacket, no tie required. We kindly ask guests to avoid flip-flops, shorts, overly casual clothing, and any white or ivory tones. For comfort on the villa’s stone pathways, block heels, wedges, or dressy flats are recommended. For inspiration: https://www.pinterest.com/thearielrogers/dress-code/wedding/
Resort Wear in White & Light Neutrals. Unlike the wedding, guests are encouraged to wear white or light beige tones for the welcome party. Think relaxed yet elevated resort styles such as breezy dresses, linen sets, lightweight button-downs, and polished sandals or loafers. In early May, Puerto Vallarta is warm and sunny, with daytime highs around 88°F (31°C) and cooler evenings around 71°F (22°C). Expect mild humidity, so pack light, breathable clothing for the day and something cozy for the evening. Don’t forget your swimsuit, sunscreen, and sunglasses! You’ll also want to pack your white or light neutral outfit for the welcome party, your wedding night attire, and comfortable boat-day clothes for time on the water. Be sure to bring your favorite water bottle—there are purified water machines around Villa Mia to keep you refreshed!
YES! Check to see if your passport is VALID and not EXPIRED. To be safe, renew your passport if it expires within the 6 month window of the wedding. You will need it to arrive in Mexico.
We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest people! Because space is limited, we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If you received a plus one, it will be indicated on your RSVP. You’re more than welcome to share your own hotel or other lodging with friends or family not on the guest list—however, the villas are reserved just for invited guests.
Not at all! If you’d prefer a hotel or your own villa, you are welcome to make separate arrangements. You’ll still be invited to all wedding events. This can be a wonderful option if you’re making a vacation out of it or traveling with friends and family who are not attending the wedding.
You’ll find everything you need to know, including availability and payment details, on the Villas tab.
The total cost for the wedding weekend is $825 per person. This includes 3 nights of lodging in the villas, all meals Friday through Sunday, and an open bar all weekend, along with required gratuity and additional staff. Once you arrive, everything is taken care of so you can simply relax and enjoy the celebration with us.
We’ll miss you, but we understand! Since it’s a destination wedding and we’re coordinating all the details, let us know ASAP by submitting your RSVP so we don’t over-order tacos (or tequila)!
Yes, Puerto Vallarta is generally very safe, especially in areas popular with tourists. The city has a strong reputation as one of the safest beach destinations in Mexico, with a large presence of local police and National Guard in the main tourist zones. We’ve been mindful in planning and have chosen venues and hotels in safe, reputable areas. If you have any specific concerns, feel free to reach out — we want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy a worry-free trip!
Yes! Well, mostly yes. Majority of taxi drivers, concierge, waiters and bartenders all speak English. They know the beauty their town has to offer and they are happy to share it with us. Of course, it wouldn't hurt to brush up on your Spanish greetings and responses!
We understand that travel to our wedding is an expense, so your presence in itself is a gift! While gifts are not expected, we have a registry linked on our wedding website. Thank you!
We’re happy to help! If you don’t see your question answered on this page, please reach out to Ariel at 817-716-0112—we’ll make sure you have all the info you need.
A soft RSVP simply means we’re asking you to let us know if you’re thinking of attending our wedding, even if you’re not 100% sure yet. It helps us get an early idea of numbers so we can plan accordingly, but there’s no pressure to commit fully at this stage. However, guests who are ready to commit now may do so by submitting their villa deposit to secure their spot. This is separate from the soft RSVP and only applies if you’d like a villa stay.
