Matthew's brother, best friend, and long-time opponent in one-on-one sporting events that have taken place in the Symmes's side yard. Admired for his humor, his remarkable self-journey, and his ability to watch multiple sporting events at once, he was the first person to predict the couple's future marriage.
Susan Barba

Susan was part of Anna's Mind Body Medicine group during med school, and was also her neighbor all throughout med school! Many afternoons were spent enjoying wine and cheese on Susan's back porch, with meditation and mindful eating often featuring.
Andy Belluomini
Groomsman
Andy and Matthew coached together at Florida and South Carolina. Roommates for stretches at both places, neither of them has any ability to cook but they've always had a shared appreciation for meandering conversations over scotch and cigars.
Molly Johnson

Molly was first a friend of Matthew's from Randolph, their freshman dorm, but Anna stole her as a roommate by senior year! She and Anna love doing yoga together, thrift shopping for furniture, and exploring the Houston food scene whenever Molly comes to visit.
Jeremy Darveau
Groomsman
Jeremy and Matthew coached together at Florida, and despite Jeremy's best efforts to avoid human contact by living in rural Georgia for a few years, they've remained close friends since. Roughly the size of one Zion Williamson, he opted for football rather than basketball.
Jessie Narloch

Jessie decided she and Anna would be friends before they ever even met at Duke! From midnight bio study sessions, to sleeping in K-ville, to Matthew trying to teach her about football, they're both now internal medicine docs in training.
Kevin Gravier
Groomsman
Kevin is Anna's brother, and will always be the one bringing the laughs at a party through his dry wit! He and Matthew both appreciate board games and making fun of Anna, although by any metric Kevin is the superior of the two at both those things.
Katie Order
Bridesmaid
Katie was Anna's med school roommate, and part of the original Foxhall Friends crew! Many days were spent together learning about the cardiac cycle, enjoying Winesday, and experimenting with new recipes in our tiny kitchen.
John Watts
Groomsman
John and Matthew were fraternity brothers, roommates, and even football co-participants (John as a walk-on linebacker) at Duke, as well as a frequent member of Anna's biology study groups. Always enthusiastic about heading out on the town, and unflappable in his humor, he remains one of Matthew's best friends.
