we're getting married

Me and Emma became friends during our final semester together in high school. That same summer, both Emma and her family moved to Texas where she planned on attending school. I was surprised months later when I heard she was back in town and going to Boise State instead. It wasn't until Emma had found a business card I had given her for saxophone lessons that she decided to reach out to me. We went to TopGolf together where Emma worked at the time and immediately clicked. I was drawn to Emma's kindness and her outgoing personality, and can honestly say that she is as good as they come, I've loved the time we've spent together. - Jack

To preface my favorite story to tell, in the beginning of our relationship, Jack took me on a drive out to a beautiful cliffside view near Swan Falls, Idaho. It wasn’t anything crazy, but it was a meaningful gesture since I previously told him about my love for scenic drives and sunsets. We’ve loved visiting our little spot since! Months prior to this special day, we talked about our future months ahead, so I was aware that this day was coming. Our weekly Friday hangout was approaching and Jack was giving me some suspicious energy- saying that we should go to our favorite spot for that day, so I had a hunch “the day” was coming. I called my closest friends and mentally prepared myself for the next day. Just as I thought, he took me out to the desert and proposed to me then and there, and it was beautiful. Tears were shed and hugs were had. The rest of the day was perfect. We went to our favorite soup spot for lunch, he bought me a beautiful dress, and took me out to Chandler’s for a fancy dinner- best meal I’ve ever had by the way. As dinner wrapped up, I was expecting some down time together with his family to conclude our perfect day, but as I entered his home, I was met with all of my closest friends and family! They set up decor, had cake and desserts out- never have I been so surprised in my life! I was especially shocked since I had called all of them hours before when the engagement happened - props to their acting skills! I was overcome with emotion and felt so so loved that night. That surprise was the cherry on top to the perfect day. I am so blessed with amazing people in my life, and an amazing soon-to-be husband! - Emma

The last two years have been full of fun dates, challenges, and great successes. I am proud to stand beside Emma as we become husband and wife, its truly amazing to see God's work in my life and to be so lucky as to have Emma be a part of it. - Jack Words cannot describe the love I have for Jack- he is truly my greatest blessing. I know without a doubt that God handpicked him for me! God has been so good to us, and I’m so thankful for the love, strength, and joy He has poured into our relationship every step of the way! - Emma
