Alex and Ava first met in high school, specifically French class. Alex had sneakily tried to get out of taking a high school language class but junior year, he was forced to take French I. Ava was a chatty, loud freshman at the time, and their paths did not merge more than the class. About 7 years later, in 2019, Alex and Ava reunited while Ava was home for the summer from college and Alex was working for a landscaping company in Stowe. What started out as a summer fling very quickly blossomed into a loving relationship. Despite Alex leaving for basic training that fall, they decided to stick it out and officially started dating in September of 2019. After Alex being away for military training and Ava's last two years of college in CT, Summer of 2021 Ava and Alex moved to Burlington, Vermont with friends. In 2022, they adopted Ace, their beloved Blue Heeler/German Shepard mix. 3 more years and 4 apartments later, Alex proposed to Ava on June 20, 2025 on his grandparents property in Wolcott, VT. And the rest is history!
