FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emily Fontaine and Matt Graveley
Question

What time can we arrive at the venue?

Answer

Doors open for the Lion d'Or at 4:00pm on Saturday.

Question

What is the transportation situation from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

We have arranged a 56 person motor coach to the venue. The bus will be available to board starting at 3:30pm and will depart promptly at 3:45pm. It is a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the Cabaret Lion d'Or. Please note: the Hotel Saint-Sulpice is located on a narrow, one-way street which cannot accommodate buses. Folks will need to walk 1-2 minutes down to Rue de la Commune for pick up. (Rue de la Commune is the main road closest to the waterfront.) Montreal has a host of Ubers available, so that is also a possibility! If you decide to Uber, the doors to the Lion d'Or will open at 4:00pm.

Question

What is the transportation situation from the venue to the hotel?

Answer

We have arranged the motor coach to make its first trip back to the hotel at 11:00pm. The second (and final) trip back to the hotel will be at 1:00am.

Question

What is the parking situation near the hotel?

Answer

For those with a car, it is important to note that the hotel is located in the heart of Old Montréal. This means street parking is extremely limited. The hotel has valet parking available (one car allowed per suite), which is $45 CAD per night for a period of 24 hours.

Question

What are other things we should know about our booking with the hotel room block?

Answer

- Check in is at 4pm, check out at 12pm. - When booking at Hôtel Saint-Sulpice, you will enter your credit card details as a pre-authorization for them to hold those details in accordance with your booking. The hotel will not charge your card until you check in on your check in date. A physical card is required at check in.
