Jacob's POV: I needed community service hours in my fraternity, so I was volunteering at our church's free coffee shop. They make everything from cold brews to lattes. But I didn't know the difference between any of them. Well one Sunday night, Christina comes up and orders an iced matcha latte. Well me and my partner had no idea what 'matcha' was or how to make a latte. So I flipped through the recipe binder looking for what to do. Needless to say I ended up serving her a half steamed green drink that was totally wrong. I could tell she was pretty upset with her order but I had no idea how to fix it so I decided to flirt with her instead. I ended up asking her out to my fraternity date night, which she said yes to but then later cancelled on me a day before. But it made her so jealous when I had to take another girl that she HAD to say yes when I asked her out on a real date to the zoo. Now we are getting married. Christina's POV: I spent most evenings studying at our church’s free coffee shop during my sophomore year. One Sunday, before church, I went to order my usual coffee. This time, though, the barista had no clue what he was doing. I asked for an iced matcha, but after seeing his reaction, I decided to change my order to something easier, like an iced latte. He still looked frazzled and immediately began flipping through a large recipe book. After watching him completely mess up the drink, I decided to just politely smile, tell him it tasted great, and go back to studying. He quickly tried to befriend me. Week after week, he brought me coffee while I studied, but each time, he would try to stay a little longer and ask a few more questions. One Sunday, he came up to me after church and invited me to his fraternity’s date night. I was caught off guard and didn’t know how to say no, so I told him it sounded fun, and we exchanged info. I later realized I had a sorority event that same day and had to cancel. I felt horrible, so I agreed to go with him to his semi-formal. He insisted we hang out and get to know each other before the event, so we started hanging out with friends, grabbing coffee together, and even went to the zoo one day. We slowly became good friends, and then best friends. When Jacob asked me out for the first time I was hesitant because we were such good friends but I decided to say yes and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
