Ashley and Tyler met on June 15, 2013 at a bonfire at a barn in Alexandria, Ohio. When they saw each other walk in, their attention was instantly drawn to each other as they were the only two people not in cowboy boots, camoflauge, or cut-off tee shirts :) Tyler mustered up the courage to go talk to Ashley and as it turns out, her cousin was one of Tyler’s best friends, her dad graduated from the same high school as Tyler, and there were a lot of mutual connections. Needless to say, they hit it off! While Ashley was going to school in Athens, Ohio and Tyler was heading back to Buffalo, New York, Ashley told her mom not to worry, she would likely never see Tyler again. Well, God had other plans! Ashley and Tyler began their long distance journey with hopes to return to Columbus after graduating from undergrad. However, Tyler landed a job in Buffalo and Ashley was off to Physical Therapy School in Philadelphia, PA; back to long distance! After 3 more years of a long distance relationship, they finally reunited in Indianapolis, Indiana where Tyler and Ashley are now employed. After spending a little over a year in the same city, surviving unemployment and a global pandemic, parenting a beautiful puppy, Tyler finally dropped to one knee as it was crystal clear Ashley was the one. The rest, is still unwritten!
