We met in high school when Lindsey was a junior and Joey a senior. We were both in marching band together the year before, but we really got to know each other in jazz band class. We went to Regal Cinema in Brooklyn Center (RIP) for our first date - the movie Taken, very romantic of us, we know! We had our first kiss in the big white truck Joey used to drive.

We were on a trip to Lake Tahoe with Lindsey's family for Kim's birthday. On Friday we planned a hike near Emerald Bay to see a waterfall before we got on our dinner boat cruise. Our original hike was PACKED with people, so we parked farther down and found a different hike (that we found out later was Joey's second choice anyway). We got about halfway to the waterfall and stopped at a beautiful overlook to take pictures. Joey passed his phone to Meghan, pulled out a ring box and got down on one knee. At first Lindsey thought he was falling down the mountain, but quickly figured out what was happening (and almost stumbled down herself). Through surprised and happy tears, the answer was an obvious "yes". We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
