FAQs

Question

What to expect at the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be a full Catholic Mass, which typically lasts about an hour. It includes readings from Scripture, prayers, a short sermon (homily), the exchange of vows, and the celebration of the Eucharist (Communion). You are welcome to participate in the prayers, songs, and responses if you feel comfortable, but there’s absolutely no pressure. In the Catholic tradition, only practicing Catholics receive Communion, but all guests are welcome to come forward for a blessing or remain seated—whatever feels right for you.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate if you were given a plus one. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out and ask!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We’ll be providing shuttle service between the hotels and the reception. More details and pickup times will be shared closer to the date.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Paid parking is available at all hotel locations and nearby parking decks downtown. Ride shares are also a great option for getting around. St Mary's: There is an on-site parking lot available, as well as street parking nearby. Guests can also use the large parking lot at the school directly across the street. Brooklyn Arts Center: Parking at the venue is limited. While some street parking is available, we recommend using a ride share or shuttle service to make arrival and departure easier.
