It all started while I was dog sitting for a friend who was out of the country. Michael was helping run the business during that time, so each morning he’d pick up the work van and drop it off again each evening at the house. One day, I reached out to him about a parking issue, and that simple message turned into an invitation to carve pumpkins with friends. Our first date came sooner than expected—Michael took me to the Bavarian Bierhaus at Opry Mills. From the very first date, it felt like we had known each other forever. Michael even joked, “I’m just here for a good time, not a long time!” But God clearly had bigger plans. We never stopped spending time together, and eventually Michael asked me to be his wife. On our wedding day, during our intimate vows, he amended that line to say he was here for the long haul—and the rest is history.
