We are getting married!!!

We met at the gym at Cape Breton University in 2014 where I met two of his best friends while we watched his brother play soccer. We then didn't see each other again until the fall of 2015 where we bumped into each other at the gym again. Two weeks later we went on a date that turned into 4 hours of walking through Peter's Field Park. We then didn't want to part ways and were the designated drivers for friends that night. We have been inseparable ever since.

In October 2019 we went on a hike on Franey Mountain, Ingonish with our friend Matthew Keough. We stopped along the way as Madi demanded that Matthew fly his drone over a valley! The wind picked up and flew the drone into a tree. We finally got to the top of the mountain and the drone was unable to fly. Just before we were ready to leave Cody got down on one knee and proposed. Madi (in true Madi fashion) said "yes I'll marry you, but please stand up people are looking." Matt of course got all of this on video tape! It was the perfect proposal.
