Dana Point Harbor
Great views, great food (we love Coffee Importers for coffee & bagel sandwich), and overall just a great place to check out. If you have time, they have paddle boards or boats you can rent for a few hours.
Salt Creek Beach
This is our go to spot when we visit home. Laura grew up going to this beach and it's one of the best! There is a grassy hill that leads down to the beach. There is paid parking for this beach FYI.
Strands Beach
This beach is right next to Salt Creek Beach and is another great spot to hit up! It's better for going on a nice beach walk or for some scenic views. There is a free parking lot at the top of the hill
Mission San Juan Capistrano
This landmark is right in the heart of San Juan Capistrano and is located walking distance from the venue. Mission San Juan Capistrano is a Spanish mission in San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California. Founded November 1, 1776 in colonial Las Californias by Spanish Catholic missionaries of the Franciscan Order, it was named for Saint John of Capistrano.
Badlands Park
Great local hiking spot. 1-2 mile walk with great views of the coastline that overlook Laguna on one side, and on Dana Point for the other.
Table Rock Beach
This is the best beach in Southern California, if not the whole world. It's a small beach located in Laguna Beach and is well worth to check out.
