Montana Formal is still dressy, but with a fair amount of room for personal style. And if you have a trophy buckle…by all means wear it! Men – Slacks or nice jeans, a dress shirt, blazer and tie. Western cut is fine. Dress shoes, boots, or casual shoes are appropriate. (No flip-flops or Chaco's at Tabitha's request!) Cowboy hats are acceptable. Women - A nice dress, whether it’s the versatile little black dress or a colorful sundress. Boots, casual shoes or dress shoes are all appropriate.
BZN (Bozeman - Yellowstone International Airport). The airport is about 15 minutes from Downtown Bozeman and 1 hour from Big Sky. Most flights back to the East Coast leave early in the morning. If you are staying up in Big Sky the night before your flight, be prepared to leave yourself enough time to get to the airport. It's an hour away from the airport. It might be wise to stay down in Bozeman the night before those early a.m. flights!
Well that depends.. If you want to explore Montana, then yes, you will definitely need a car. If you are staying up in Big Sky, there are a few taxis available up there but you will be limited to what you can do. Staying in Bozeman? Downtown Bozeman is walk-able and we have a shuttle running up to Rainbow Ranch for the wedding. The pick up location is a short Uber ride to Kohl's and the shuttle will bring you back down at the end of the night.
Unfortunately, due to the size limitation of the venue and our large extended family and friends, we are limiting children invitations to immediate family and the wedding party. We hope you will understand and will decide to enjoy the weekend festivities and some adult time with your honey.
That is totally up to you. We are staying at Rainbow Ranch on Friday and Saturday night. There is no need to book your whole stay there. Bozeman offers less expensive alternatives and is easier to get to the airport for those early morning flights. Check out the Travel section of the website for additional hotel recommendations, if you choose to break up the stay.
If you were hoping to stay up in Big Sky and there are no more rooms left at Rainbow Ranch, then you might look at the Wilson Hotel, which is about a 10 to 15 minute drive to the ranch. It is in the Meadow and is a great location for shops and restaurants near the Big Sky Town Center. Alternatively, Bozeman is usually a more cost efficient option. It is an hour from Big Sky. However, we have arranged a shuttle bus that will bring folks up for the day of the wedding and will bring everyone back at the end of the night. Check out the Travel section of the website for more information.
