We're So Excited to Celebrate With You!

Growing up in the same church, Grant and Sierra have known of each other since they were kids. However, with Grant being homeschooled and Sierra going to public school, they really only saw each other on Sundays. Sierra had had a crush on Grant for quite some time (we're talking years here) when a mutual friend encouraged Sierra to reach out to Grant via text message. Once Sierra finally mustered up the courage to text him, Grant wasn't sure how to respond and took the rest of the day to think about it, therefore sending Sierra into a whirlwind of emotions about whether or not she had just made a huge mistake. Thankfully, when Grant did respond, they hit it off immediately and haven't stopped talking since. They officially started dating on July 1, 2017 and will celebrate 5 years of dating before their wedding day. After graduating high school, the pair had to continue a distanced relationship, as they chose to go to colleges that are not only 2.5 hours apart, but who are also the two biggest rivals in the state of Indiana- Purdue University and Indiana University. Grant is now graduating in May of 2022 with a degree in electrical engineering and Sierra will graduate the next year with a degree in Nursing. It was not always easy to maintain a relationship when the majority of the time, they were seeing each other through a phone screen, but they persevered and on August 20, 2021, they got engaged! Grant planned an elaborate surprise with a dinner at one of their favorite restaurants and then proposed to Sierra in a beautiful gazebo on the perfect night, right as the sunset started. Even though Sierra had been waiting for that day to come for many many months, she still could not believe it when Grant got down on his knee and popped the question. Since then, they are continuing to revel in the fun that comes with being engaged and planning a wedding. They are very much looking forward to getting married and celebrating with family and friends on July 16, 2022!
