Hello friends and family. I hope while you’re here you have time to explore the area! Downtown Gainesville has some wonderful places to explore. You can walk from bar to bar enjoying specialty drinks and great food. Gainesville is located about 25 minutes from the Holiday Inn Hotel in Alachua. People travel from all over the world to visit Ginnie Springs, it’s High Springs hidden Gem! Seriously google it! Rent or bring a tube and Float from spring to spring! Ginnie is approximately 20 Minutes from the Holiday Inn hotel. High springs is a small town. Stop in at Bev’s for amazing burgers on the way to the springs. You won’t regret it! All the swimming and exploring is guaranteed to work up an an appetite, on the way back from the springs I recommend stopping at The Great Outdoors Restaurant to quench your thirst on the patio and listen to live music! Alachua is located in the middle of Gainesville and High Springs. Also has the best BBQ restaurant in town, Sonny’s BBQ.

Ginnie Spring

Ginnie Spring is a Landmark. From innertubes, to kayaks, to paddleboards and canoes there’s many ways to experience Ginnie. I recommend bringing a float instead of renting but it’s your choice. There are seven crystal clear springs that are 72 degrees year round. Take a dip and explore! Adults- $14 Children 6-1- $4
