The first time Meredith and Grant met was at a USA Shooting competition in the summer of 2015. This was the year Meredith started shooting bunker and the last competition Grant would attend. Fast forward to the fall of 2018, Meredith came to Pulaski, Tennessee for college (for those who may not know her hometown's Waterford, Wisconsin). Meredith has supposedly always had a crush on him, but did not think Grant knew who she was. They would practice bunker together and run into each other often from 2018 - 2021. It was not till after they both graduated college in May of '21 that they would reconnect and well y'all know the rest...

"Just trust me"... That is what Grant had said to Meredith when he said he planned a hike for that afternoon to watch the sunset. *Insert eye roll* as Meredith is the one who plans hiking trips. But unknowing to her, Grant had it all planned out. There was already a fantastic photographer waiting on the cliffside to capture the wonderful moment. Grant knew he would be nervous but he never imaged he would be that nervous to ask the love of his life to marry him. Then on a knee, Grant actually had tears in his eyes for when Meredith turned around from taking in the view. Knowing he poured his heart out and not being able to remember a single word he said except the love in his eyes in that moment, she said "yes"
