The story started when Grant and McKenna were asked to stand up in the Bachner wedding together back in 2020. Grant knew the groom (Zach) through Central Michigan University, and McKenna is the bride's cousin (Allison). They "officially" met in the front yard of the Bachner's house, where the Bachners were hosting their wedding shower in July of 2020. McKenna was introduced to Grant in front of McKenna's aunt. She looked at both of them once they were introduced and asked Allison, "are these two walking down the aisle together?" Fast-forward a month later, COVID had ruined everyone's wedding plans, including the Bachner plans for the bachelor and bachelorette parties. To make up for it, they hosted a combined party at their house, which McKenna ALMOST didn't attend due to an already busy weekend. However, she decided to go, and it was probably the best decision that she has made so far in her life. Grant and McKenna really started to get to know each other then, and here they are today. They walked together at the Bachner wedding in 2020, and now McKenna gets to walk down the aisle to him in 2025! Since then, they have been through so many sad times, happy times, and everything in between. In August of 2023, they went on vacation to Greece together and came back home engaged! They are very excited to be on this journey together, and they can't wait to share the start of this chapter with the people that they love. Here's to forever!
