Yes - Formal Cocktail! Please join us in elegant, elevated attire to suit the church ceremony at St. John’s Catholic Church and the Art Deco grandeur of the Durham Museum. Formal Cocktail calls for polished, refined pieces that are a step above typical cocktail attire—think sleek cocktail or midi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or suit-and-tie options with a tailored, refined feel. Early September in Omaha can be variable; consider layers (wraps, shawls, or a tailored coat). Finish your look with evening-appropriate accessories to complement the venue’s timeless glamour.
We’re so excited to celebrate with you! If you’ve been allotted a plus one, it will be included directly in your RSVP — just follow the prompts when you respond to let us know who will be joining you. If a plus one isn’t listed, we hope you’ll still come ready to celebrate with us and enjoy the festivities!
We love your little ones! Due to space and planning considerations, children will only be included if they are specifically listed on your RSVP. If your prompt includes your children’s names, we would be delighted to celebrate with them—just be sure to include them when you respond. If not, we hope you enjoy a fun night out with us!

Yes. St. John’s Church is located on the Creighton University. There is a large surface lot near the church at 2432 Burt St that is generally available for guest or event parking. We recommend allowing a little extra time to park and walk to the church, especially if there are other events happening nearby. The Durham Museum has it's own parking lot directly in front of the building.
No, the Ceremony should finish up around 11:30am and the Reception (Cocktail Hour) starts at 5pm. We hope you will take the opportunity to rest as needed (from an early ceremony!), prepare to dance the night away, and/or explore the downtown Omaha area :) we love our little city and we know you will too! If you are looking for ideas to pass the time, visit the "Things To Do" tab on our website.
Technically, yes! We got married before a justice of the peace with our immediate families on September 5, 2025. However, Malia has lived in DC the past year and Grant just recently completed OCIA and officially joined the Catholic Church on Easter Vigil this year. We can't wait to get married in the Church, have our union sacramentally blessed, and throw a proper celebration with all of our family and friends! Best First Anniversary Party ever.
