Despite not being able to do a cartwheel, Abi became best friends with the Bride during gymnastics class in the first grade. 20 years later, this friendship holds a lifetime of memories. Abi and Lizzy were 6 year old goofballs together, spent years in the dance studio together, and college years in Madison together. “Please watch over my brother” - Phil Knies, Grant’s friend, begged him in the summer of 2021. While Grant still has to babysit Matthew, these two quickly became best friends and grew an unbreakable bond in just one year at the U. These two competitors have come close to ending their friendship over games of ping pong, Mario Kart and bags (cornhole). Ask Matthew about his new dog Zoey and how long it takes him to play 18 holes!

Maddie has been the Bride’s unofficial older sister ever since her younger sister, Abi befriended the Bride 20 years ago. While she may not have asked for another sister, Maddie has been a role model that’s always down for an adventure. Ask this marathoner how many miles she’s ran this week, lake life with her husband, Trevor, and Golden Retriever, Ollie!

This friendship started in middle school when Lizzy pushed Megan’s wheelchair from class to class while she recovered from knee surgeries! Ask Megan about her badass career as a Cardiac PICU nurse, her Nashville chapter and going back to school to be a Nurse Anesthetist!

“Dingel” became Grant’s big brother from day one of mini-mites hockey. Always protecting and looking out for G, Dingel has been the brother Grant never had. Ask Alex about working in the medical field and how excited he is to be back living in Milwaukee!

Taylor met the Bride through mutual friends in Madison. After a brief stint in quarantine, they quickly realized their kindred spirits and became best friends. Ask Taylor about life in Madison, her side gigs as a cycling and pilates instructor, and her upcoming Wedding!

Added to the summer training group in 2019, Drew and Grant immediately became very close while complaining about how hard their workouts were. Drew and Grant are undefeated as summer golf partners and enjoy aiming left and hitting right. Ask Drew about his hole in one and his dog named Ace!

1/2 of the brains behind Grant passing Calc in college, Jackson claims to have a very large brain and a great golf swing! While his swing speed doesn’t exceed 65mph, he is great around the greens. Ask Jackson about his recent travels to Europe and what it’s like to cheer on Rory McIlroy every week!

The other 1/2 of the brains behind Grant passing Calc, Bryan and Grant were roommates for all 3 years at Colorado College. These two quickly became brothers during the best, and worst, 3 years of their lives. Ask Bryan about life in Utah and how many times a week he eats at Costa Vida!

Nick Woodward

“Woody” or “Bob” made the rare decision move to Wisconsin to play AAA hockey and join Grant and Lizzy at Kettle Moraine High School. He and the groom took every class together at KM before reuniting in Minneapolis in college. This duo is also unbeaten on the golf course! Ask Woody about his Roller Hockey Championships and why they choose to wear such ugly jerseys!


Kevin Dineen

As one of grants earliest teammates, Kevin also took on the big brother role for Grant. As an Infantry Captain and graduate of Army Ranger School, Kevin has persevered through what most people would never do. One of the mentally toughest people Grant has ever met, Kevin has been a role model for the groom’s entire life. Ask Kevin about his time in the Army and his journey back to Milwaukee!
