Our favorite distillery in the area! Fun fact: RJ's (one of the groomsmen) family were actually the first ones to introduce us to it, when we met them in Chicago!
Our local aquarium! Grant works here in his free time; and, if you get in early, you may be able to catch him diving in the tanks.
Those of you who know Grant, know he is a big history buff (especially the Civil War), so you should definitely take the chance to visit where it all started! The ferry ride to the fort is great, and the views are spectacular. Pairs well with the aquarium right next door!
For our out of town friends- a walk down King Street is a great experience. Plenty of shops and dining all around. Our favorite stops along the way are: Yeti store, Vinyard Vines, Savannah Honey Co., plenty of bars, and The Darling Oyster Bar ($1.50 oysters from 4-6).
A fun spot for a classic Charleston breakfast. The couple visited with the mother of the bride prior to Kristin's White Coat Ceremony (the start of Med School).
One of our favorite restaurants in the area. They serve standard steakhouse options, and classic American. If you visit, take a look at the ceiling for a fun surprise!
One of our favorite neighborhoods in Charleston. Tons of food and drink options around! Our favorites include: Lola's (Cajun), The Codfather (English fish and chips), Commonhouse (local brewery), Orange Spot Coffee (one of Kristin's favorite coffee shops).
Classic southern porches and lowcountry architecture make this the perfect place to see what Charleston is all about. Don't forget to check out Rainbow Row and the Pineapple Fountain, two other local legends around the corner!
