Kayla and Grant met online through dating apps in August of 2021, for a couple of months, the two messaged back and forth, exchanged phone numbers, and then made plans for their very first date. On November 23rd of 2021, Kayla and Grant had their first date at which they went thrifting together at Goodwill. The two had such a great time together, that they continued their shopping date by going to a coffee shop and chatting until the coffee shop closed. From then, the two have been inseparable.

On a very cold March day, Grant and Kayla were camping with Kayla’s family. Kayla was bundled up in her warmest clothes listening to Grant sing and play her favorites near the campfire. Much to her surprise, Grant got down on one knee and asked Kayla to marry him. It was everything that the two dreamed it would be, intimate, sweet, and deeply personal.
