We’re getting married!

Hi, it’s Jessi! How we met: One of our groomsmen, Tanner Southerly, was the catalyst of our relationship. He introduced us and the rest is history. The funny thing is that we both grew up right beside each other(Tanner was my best male friend and he was Grant’s best friend throughout childhood). Tanner and I could practically walk to each others houses, so there were many moments where my soulmate was very near and I had no idea. Nonetheless, both of us are very thankful that things happened the way they did. On August 28th, 2015 Grant asked me if I would be his girlfriend at the first home Hampshire High football game of the season after we had been talking for a few months. On October 30th, 2022 he asked me to be his wife at one of my favorite scenic landmarks-Coopers Rock. A few things about us- As for me, I am the extroverted person in the relationship. I love to have a good time and one of my favorite things to do is talk to those I love. I grew up in Slanesville, WV and remained in Hampshire County until college. I went to West Virginia University for my Bachelor's in Human Nutrition and Foods and, when the big day arrives, I will be a semester deep into my graduate program/dietetic internship through Marshall University in order to receive my proper credentials to become a Registered Dietitian. After that, Grant and I will likely move back home to Hampshire County, where our immediate families reside. Both of us are very family oriented which is such a blessing. As for Grant, he grew up in Springfield, WV. So, we were just over the mountain from one another! He then went to college and at West Virginia University to study finance. We both graduated in May of 2023 with our undergraduate degrees and he is now looking for a job in his field. One of the jokes I tell him is that he can pay for my master's degree(LOL!). Grant’s go-with-the-flow and carefree attitude keeps my fast-paced mind at ease. I could not ask for a better life partner and I cannot wait to marry him.
