FAQs

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered here on Zola. We are moving to our first apartment out of state for college shortly after we marry. We will be driving there, taking only a few bare necessities the whole way! So we are asking for gift cards, donations to our moving/honeymoon fund on our Zola registry, or very small sized gifts that we can pack easily.

Question

Can we take our own photos at the wedding?

Answer

This is going to be an un-plugged wedding! That means we will be asking everyone to keep their phones in their pockets and purses to prevent them from being in any photos taken by the professional on scene. We will have a time for you to use your phones for pictures with the bride and groom between the ceremony and reception, and shortly before the bride and groom depart.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have planned for all of our single friends and family to bring a plus one! Just let us know if you will be bringing a date.

Question

Why won't you be serving alcohol?

Answer

Grant is 21 and Faith is 20. But they both agreed not to participate in drinking and to stay sober. Fruit punch appeals to them more than alcohol.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes, children as welcome! But we ask for your discernment as to how well behaved they can be during this special event. They may not be old enough to sit for long periods of time.

Question

How formal is this event?

Answer

It is traditional wedding formal. Men are asked to wear suits. If they don't have one, opt for business casual. A nice button-up and slacks can substitute. Women are asked to wear dresses. If this is not an option, opt for business casual. A nice sweater and skirt, even slacks would work great.
