BWI is the closest airport - about a 15-20 min drive from the venue/hotels. There are also airports 1-2 hour drive away at Washington DC or Philadelphia, but there can be heavy traffic at times.

It is a 10 min walk, but depending on the heat/humidity, you may desire to Uber/get a ride. It's a 3-5min walk to a grocery store (Harris Teeter), a brewery (Diamondback), restaurants, and some fast casual food (Towson Hot Bagels, Jimmy Johns, Dunkin Donuts, Samos Greek etc).
