It all started when Chase was in sixth grade, and Grant was in eighth at Niguel Hills Middle School. Chase spotted Grant at school one day and immediately had a crush. She was always too nervous to say anything to him in person, but she got ahold of Grant's AIM from a friend. She worked up the courage to message him and turns out he liked her too! Grant moved on to high school and they both went their separate ways. Fast forward to 2014... Grant and Chase were at a mutual friend’s house one night and Chase mentioned to one of her friends that she had always had a crush on Grant. Her friend decided to go up to Grant and told him she would give him $5 to talk to Chase (Chase was humiliated). Grant laughed and obviously declined the money, he wanted to talk to Chase anyway. Chase was incredibly shy and Grant managed to help Chase come out of her shell. After that night, they started to see each other pretty frequently, getting to know one another more and more. One of the first few times they hungout together in a group setting, Grant said to a friend of his “I am going to marry this girl”. They spent an unforgettable summer together in August of 2014 and have been together ever since.

Grant and Chase took their dog Rocky on a walk to their favorite spot to watch the sunset, at the gazebo in their neighborhood. Chase realized something was happening when Rocky spotted Chase's cousin Jessie in the bushes with her camera. Grant got down on one knee and proposed to Chase! She of course said yes and they were ENGAGED! They went back to their house and there was a surprise engagement party that Grant's mother Dianne had set up with the help of other friends and family. It was the best night of their lives...so far.
