Known as the "most California boy" and "most Florida girl", the two met in the North Georgia mountains the summer of 2021 while working at a Life Teen summer camp. The two were summer missionaries (think camp counselors) for six weeks and spent their summer playing sports, praying, leading small groups, and praising the Lord. Although Caitlyn didn't know it yet, Grant had a crush on Caitlyn the moment he saw her and developed feelings for her as the summer went on.

After the summer, Caitlyn and Grant decided to stay in touch with their friends from camp by leading weekly night prayer on Sundays. Whenever no one else showed up, they prayed it together just the two of them. Outside of weekly prayer, they saw each other at various weddings and reunion trips with their friends over the next year and a half. In January of 2023, Grant told Caitlyn of his feelings for her and asked her out to a FaceTime date. They continued to date virtually for a month and some of Grants best dates included door dashing Chipotle from California to Caitlyn's apartment in Florida and finding a way they could attend confession together by going at 7A PCT and 10 EST. After 2 virtual dates Caitlyn asked to fly out to California to see how this new dynamic of dating would feel in person, a month later she flew out and (duh) it was a total success. Grant then spent the summer of 2023 braving Frontier Airlines. He was a "Go-Wild" pass holder, and flew from California to Florida as often as possible. In July of 2023 Caitlyn moved to Denver making the cross country long distance, shorter. Caitlyn was likely the most frequent flyer on the Thursday night flight from Denver to Bakersfield and the 5 AM Sunday morning flight from Bakersfield to Denver. After a year of crying every goodbyes, bi-weekly flights, and trips across the U.S., , Grant and Caitlyn conquered long-distance dating as Grant moved to Denver. Believe it or not, dating in person and seeing each other every day is MUCH better than long-distance dating! They had an incredible rest of 2024, enjoying life together in Denver, going on countless hikes, errand runs, playing sports, and finding a church of their own in Denver.

Sources tell that on the last night of Camp (back in 2021) Caitlyn told all the girls she'd marry Grant in a heartbeat (even though she didn't even know he had a crush on her!). Throughout dating the couple knew for a long time that this was end game, a classic when you know you know. As 2024 went on, the idea of marriage and engagement became much more tangible, and on February 3rd of 2025, Grant proposed to Caitlyn in his front yard on a Monday night! They absolutely can't wait to be married and to celebrate this special day and this Holy Sacrament with all of their friends and family.
