2014 We met during our first high school jobs at the local Elgin Sports Complex, just as the school year was ending. Both being sarcastic goofballs, we connected instantly—but as awkward teenagers, we also both assumed the other wasn’t interested. While nothing happened and no feelings were confessed at the time, a friendship still began that would quietly last for years. 2022 Fast forward a few years (and a lot of growing up later), we reconnected. A little older, a little wiser, and probably just as awkward as before, we fell right back into step. It didn’t take long to realize that spark from 2014 was still very much there—and this time, we weren’t keen on letting it slip away. 2026 Now, we’re ready to make it forever. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
