What a beautifully long, strange trip it's been.

Who knew at Jodi's birthday party eight years ago two commitment-adverse kids would spark up a connection on the Cannon River? They sure didn't. That was until a couple of years later when Tanner recruited Scott to work at Surly with them. After a few weeks of flirting, and a botched birthday meet-up thanks to a wild night at Bunkers, these two lovebirds finally hung out. In a blizzard. On a Monday when everything was closed. So what did they do? Spend 9 hours putting together a 1000-piece puzzle of The Last Supper, of course. Turned out that puzzle would take almost five months to complete only to find out it was missing two pieces. Make of that cute little coincidence what you will, but after five months of puzzle-building these two were all in. It has been an incredible six and a half years. Through the highest highs and the lowest lows these two have continued to grow, learn, and love deeply together. Now they can’t wait to “officially” commit to a life of love and partnership together and celebrate with so many of those that they love. One of the main things veteran married couples will tell you is that “marriage is all about compromise”. This proved true at the beginning of wedding planning. When one person wanted to elope and get married just the two of them, and the other wanted to throw the party of the century with every single person they both knew, they had to compromise. As a result of said compromise, they have chosen to host a small, private ceremony separate from one hell of a party celebrating their union. While this isn’t what most folks normally expect when it comes to attending a wedding, it is what’s perfect for Scott and Andrea and they truly appreciate your understanding and acceptance and can’t wait to celebrate with you. – A note from Scott and Andrea: “We wouldn’t be us without all of the love, friendship, and support we’ve received over the years both as a couple and as individuals. Thank you for all the joy and community you have brought and continue to bring into our lives. We cannot wait to celebrate the start of this new chapter with you!”
